From this area you can access the latest district and county level mid-year population estimates and projections by age band.  You can also find total population figures for towns and villages, parishes, wards and local community areas.

The population figures for towns and villages, parishes, wards and local community areas are based on 2001 census figures.  District and county level 2001 census populations are also available.  The census figures will not be updated until new figures from the next census in March 2011 have been received.

 This can be used to plan for the number of people who may use specific services and for funding bids to demonstrate the number of people living in area by age.
