Qualified social worker training programme

Are you still passionate about a career in children’s services?

We are running a 20 day Return to Social Work programme for qualified social workers looking to return to social work.

The programme will enable you to refresh your knowledge and skills in children's social work.  It will also be suitable for social workers wanting to move into children's services.

The programme has been developed by London South Bank University and offers attendees the following benefits:

• Up to date information about current practice, issues and legislation in children's social work.
• Shadowing opportunities in social work teams.
• Ability to restore your General Social Care Council (GSCC) registration.
• Opportunity to apply for social work jobs in Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes.
• Childcare costs will be paid to those successfully completing the programme.
• Bursary will be paid to individuals successfully completing the programme.

Selection will be restricted to individuals who have:

• A professional social work qualification recognised by the GSCC
• Not worked in a children’s social work team for over twelve months

Closing date for applications: 30 September 2011
Interviews will take place on 10 and 11 October 2011
