Buckinghamshire academy for schools leadership (BASL)

A locally devised collaborative leadership development programme for all senior school leaders in the County.
The aim of BASL is to raise the quality of school leadership in the County through a collaborative leadership learning community that:
- Encourages and supports collaborative leadership learning
- Provides a professional development programme that is innovative, research-based, and builds on shared experience
- Celebrates success
The Academy is led by a Board of Headteachers and Board Members are elected at an annual conference. All Buckinghamshire Headteachers and advisers are eligible for membership of the Academy and can be elected to serve on the Board.
Activities of the group include hosting an annual conference for all Heads, Deputies and Assistant heads as well as providing a database of experienced Headteachers for use in training, mentoring and coaching.
